Dear Kabayan,Please be informed that there will be a national election for twelve (12) senators and one (1) party list member by all certified Filipino overseas absentee voters from 14 April to 14 May 2007. The Certified List of Absentee Voters (CLOAV) of Filipinos in Thailand is already uploaded in the Philippine Embassy website: http://www.philembassy-bangkok.net. If you registered as an overseas absentee voter in 2003 or 2006 in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket or Pattaya, please check your names and full mailing addresses in the website. If there are corrections or inaccuracies, please notify the Philippine Embassy at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , CC: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it However, COMELEC informs all Philippine Foreign Service Posts that it may only do the corrections after the elections. From March 6 to April 30, 2007, COMELEC shall send all election papers by registered priority mail to each certified absentee vote in exclusive and specially marked dispatches. Qualified voters will receive all information, list of candidates, and instructions on how to fill up the ballots, seal them, and send them back by mail to the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok or personally hand-carry them. If you have changed residence since your last registration date or should there be an error in your mailing address as listed in the CLOAV, please advise your local postal office or your previous landlord/lady so that election documents may be forwarded to you in due time. The list of official candidates for the senatorial slate and the party list organizations shall be uploaded in the Embassy website soon.
