We all agree that Thailand is very effective in promoting their tourist spots. Imagine you're the Secretary of Tourism, which Philippine tourist spots are going to promote? And why?  Wink

Seriously, there are a lot of places that can we really be proud of! Boracay is one of the Set if not the best beach in Asia or maybe the world. Astig dun!  Grin

Isa pa pala! Bohol! I haven't been there but I hear its a great place. Taga dun kasi erpats ko! hahaha! Saka yung uncle ko may position dun... kaya yun!:)

AKO TAGA BOHOL AKO.... I am always promoting our province and most of my co-teachers here want to go with me sa vacation... huhuhuhuhuh Di ko alam kung magkasya kami sa bahay namin... Our place is just 20 kilometers aways from Chocolate Hills and other tourist sttractions in Bohol...

I would like to recommend to everyone my home province Bohol. It's the number 1 tourist destination in the philippines and it received several travel awards from national and international travel expositions. COME TO BOHOL!!!

The Philippine tarsier(Tarsius syrichta) is very peculiar small animal. In fact it is one of the smallest known primates, no larger than an adult man's hand. Mostly active at night, it lives on a diet of insects.

As an OFW, it's our responsiblity and obligation to be ambassadors of goodwill for our country. In my old school before, 15 Thai teachers visited our country. Enjoy sila sa mga sites sa Northern Luzon- Baguio City. They liked our bars and San Miguel Beer. Pinakyaw din nila, red ribbon cakes. One time, i was able to convince a British friend to visit PI , magbobook na sana. Hay naku, imbyerna lang ung Thai gf niya, huwag na lang daw sila travel, bili na lang ng bahay.so i told my friend, he missed 1/4 of his life hehehe.

Kasi alam siguro ng girl na sa travel wala siyang kita at sa bahay meron siyang makikita Smiley Di lang siya siguro travel bug. Pero ok yan Ann ha.

Good idea yan, to promote the Philippines through all Filipinos in Thailand. Kung may 5000 na Filipinos dito with only 2 invites per person, that already 10,000 turistas. If they only spend hundred dollars each day that about 1,000,000 USD a day? Correct me if my math is wrong please.

We need to have more ways to reach out to the tourists and prospective tourists. I have seen a lot of pictures of places that gives me the feeling of wanting to go there. Our beloved country has a lot of tourist places to boast of, but sadly, only a fraction of tourists have heard of those places.

If someone asks you about such places in our country, can you name more than 10? Ok, Boracay is known, but if I were a tourist, I would not go to the Philippines only to see Boracay. I might as well see the underground river in Palawan, the beauty of Bohol and Camiguin Islands, Samal Island in Davao and while there, visit the pearl farm, crocodile farm and maybe take shots of the Philippine eagles. I might as well go surfing in Sairgao, see the full flow of Maria Christina falls and Tinago falls in Iligan, go west and spend a day or two in Dakak and while at it, visit Rizal shrine, which is just 10 minutes away. Maybe the flower festival in Baguio or the Fruit festival in Kidapawan city might offer new sights and experiences. River rafting at Cagayan de Oro is one thing a tourist wouldn't want to miss.
Tourists should never miss Banaue rice terraces and all the other sites in Luzon.

There are a lot of places and attractions in the Philippines that even filipinos do not know of. A brochure and dates of festivals might help advertise those places. Details on how to get there are important. I never found a detailed road map of places in the Philippines.

Most tourists plan their trips using the internet. They then go to the country's embassy to get more information. Our embassy here in Bangkok has a very accessible location, but then, if you are a tourist and you go to the Philippine embassy in Bangkok, would you still want to go to the Philippines after your visit to the embassy? Myabe the embassy is a good place to start advertising our country.

depende siguro sa turista;i mean depende sa trip nya.i mean if the tourist is a nature lover,po promote mo ba mga go-go bars?,if he loves hiking popromote mo ba ang surfing sa siargao?if he loves the beach po-promote mo ba baguio?

one thing about being  pinoy is that when asked about a certain place or tourist spot we get so hyped in promoting ang telling stories to places that sometimes we never been at.it's all gonna start with the sentence "oh yes i heard that place is beautiful" blah blah blah.giving up false details and info's.so the best way to promote tourism is for us pinoy to get out and travel all over phils.firstor at least some tourist spots.

in sales/marketing( i know most of the guys in the field will agree).to sell or endorse your product properly the first common step is "KNOWING THE PRODUCT" how can u sell a product u don't even know or understand;how will u sell a product based on hearsay.

same thing in promoting phils, how u gonna promote recommend a certain spot if u haven't been there?
farang: i heard boracay is beautiful
pinoy:  oh yes very beautiful sunset;ladies;beach
farang: have u been there?
pinoy:NO! but i heard from a friend of a friend from his friends dog....blah blah

so book your tickets and start seeing phils by yourself first..
