I think that we can promote Medical Tourism aside from our beautiful beaches. Like here in Thailand, they equally promote medical tourism. Magagaling ang mga doctors natin, we are the no. 1 suppliers ng mga nurses and our facilities is already up-to-date. Here in TH the process is the patient/client is greeted in the airport, admit in hospital, after the surgery or other operation, they are offered of recuparating program, like spa, massage. The market of this kind of tourism is big, we are able to help our medical field too to grow (para nde na sila lalabas ng bansa) and the income is in USD. We might be able to tour the patient/client to our beautiful beaches so they will have places they can tell when they went home. It is like hitting 2 birds with 1 stone  Wink. I hope maisip ng government natin ito.

i'm not ilocana but ive been to Bangui, Ilocos Norte. wowwwww!!! they have so many fantastic waterfalls there.

try doing island hopping in guimaras. you can stay either in nagarao island or puerto del mar. mas mura sa nagarao island kesa sa puerto del mar. sulit na sulit ang bayad nyo sa food and the tranquility of the place. i really love the place. hay sana makabalik ako dun sarap ng katahimikan dun parang ayoko ng umalis at bumalik sa kabihasnan.

If you look at Thai Tourism, a large portion of tourism is by locals, travelling by bus overnight to destinations like Chiang Rai or Phuket, Krabi or Trat. Obviously this is difficult to do in the Philippines because of our archipelagic country.

But there are destinations around Manila that could be developed or should be developed so that Pinoys are able to pump up tourism in the country.

I love the sea and one of my favorite destinations is in Davao City. I love Samal Island and used to spend many weekends on an Island near the pearl farm resort (YouTube has lots of clips).  Philippines

Miss ko na tuloy...

I love Iloilo and Davao seafood. Also went to a restaurant in Cebu where they specialized in seafood. Sarap!!

I Davao, people like to make Kinilaw na Malasugue (sailfish). Sarap ng puting laman ng malasugue. Then go to the fishponds where they raise Bangus and Tiger prawn. Crabs are a by-catch but of course you can eat them too. Sana lang nga eh may mga restaurants near the fish ponds. Actually this could be developed in the philippines as well.

Oh and we also raise Lapu-Lapu (grouper -  no relative of SP personality) in cages in Davao.

Did you know that Davao exported Bangus (smoked) around the world? There is also Unagi (eel - which is a delicacy in Japan).
