Mabuhay!

Have been here for 2 weeks now and chanced upon this site.
My wife is 32 weeks pregnant and we are looking for Bangkok hospitals, with English-speaking staff. Browsed the internet and came up with these (from a British expat's forum): Nathon Hospital, Bangkok Hospital Samui, Thai International Hospital, King Mongkut and Srinakarin. Which is the best in terms of quality care and tight budget?
Shempre, mas maganda recommendations ng kapwa pinoy. Sana, pati OB gyne na din and apartments nearby. (Lubusin ko na, hehehe)

Maraming salamat!

Hello Sir,

Congrats in advance sa new member ng family ninyo. Children are such a blessing. Like you binayayaan din kami ng dalawang makukulit pero sulit!

With regards to the hospital that you mentioned above, I cannot really speak for them but those yung nasubukan na mga friends at namin.

Latphrao Hospital (convenient and best deal of all in my opinion)
Childrens Hospital sa Victory Monument
Bumrungrad
Samitivej Srinakarin Children's Hospital

Despite all these info, it's still best to always ask questions to who ever is in charge of your wife and child. Better safe than sorry Wink

3 months ago I had a successful gall bladder operation @Camillian Hospital in Thonglo. The building is not as cozy as Samitivej but the medicine, operations, tests and almost everything is affordable. You can use your personal health insurance like AIG or SSS. At halimbawang naoperahan ka at sumobra s amount ng personal insurance nyo ang expenses pwde nilang kuhanin ang kulang sa SSS.

I used to go to Samitivej pero kdalasan lumalagpas s health insurance amount ang binabayaran ko. Imagine,  ang doctor's fee for consultation is 600Baht compare to Camillian na 200-250 baht only.

By the way, for that operation my insurance paid only 37thou and I even stayed there for 6days kasama n lahat-lahat dyan heheh, na-enjoy ko pati ang Thai food nila.. sarap..   Sa Samitivej, according s accounting offce nila it would cost me 100K for this kind of operation.

Hope this help.

Thanks for another useful input Ms. Eillen. It's true, may kamahalan nga ang Samitivej. When my mom had a mild-stroke they were asking us for 100K as deposit (Wahhh!!!) buti na lang may good help na dumating. They pointed our way to Ramkamhaeng Hospital na kung saan may Filipina Doctor. Oo nga pala magaling din ang mga Docs dito, my wife's OB GYN is resident sa hospital na ito. Very sharp na doctor. By the way, me and my wife are both RN's kaya we can compare the qualites ng mga doctors dito at sa atin.

Len, may world Movie festival ngayon. Nakapanood ka? How are you na?
