Gabe Norwood

Well I am not sure if I got it correctly, but according to what I have read Chot Reyes have good words for this Phil Am player. They say he can play good ball and he has the body for it.

Will try to get more for you? T-rex more info please. Wink

Philippines 88 Korea 84

Asi is the man of the game. Norwood slammed the last basket coming off from Mark Caguioa to Kerby Raymundo and then to him. What a way to end the game Wink Yohoo!!! Now it's 2-2 for RP Team beating USA and Korea

Seigle back for RP five

By Ronnie Nathanielsz

DANNY Seigle, who sat out the Jones Cup in which the Philippines finished third place, returns to the national team when it plays Lebanon in the main 7:30 p.m. game of the four-nation Manila Invitational at The Arena in San Juan.

In the first game at 4:30 p.m., which follows the opening ceremonies one hour earlier, China plays a tough Syrian national team.

Coach Chot Reyes, who didn’t wish to risk his end-game finisher, who was recovering from a hamstring injury is looking to avenge the heartbreaking last-second shot loss to Lebanon in the Jones Cup in Chinese Taipei. But Reyes’ priority is to scout the opponents further and decide on the composition of the Philippine Team to the Fiba Asia Men’s Championship in Tokushima, Japan later this month, which will serve as a qualifier for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Reyes said that the injury to James Yap, who was carried off the court in Taipei by Asi Taulava late in the second quarter, appears very slight, but it prevented him from making a final decision on the national team lineup. Reyes said he wanted to rest Yap for one week and then make a choice between Yap and another shooting star Renren Ritualo.

With the injury to Yap, Reyes said he will use the opportunity to play Tony de la Cruz, who has fully recovered from an ankle injury.

But Reyes revealed that “in my mind, I just like to play the 12 who will probably go except it will be Tony instead of James.”

The coach said he also “needs to keep playing Tony in case Gabe Norwood’s papers don’t come through.”

The United States National College Athletic Association Division I Fil-Am standout reportedly has to present one more document to be able to exercise the right to Philippine citizenship.

SMC-Pilipinas beat Lebanon 87-81 yesterday to win the Manila Four Team Invitational held in Araneta Coliseum. MVP of the Event was Jimmy Alapag. Despite the good showing, I think there are a lot of things that the team should improve like free throw shooting and defense. The team should have led by more than 10 points but defensive lapses during the last minute allowed Lebanon to lose by a slim 6 point margin.

Mark Caguioa started the game 0 of 9 from the field and finished with 19. Jimmy Alapag finished with 23 points

Pre, tama ka nga sa free throws they should not take it lightly. Look at what happened to Jimmy the previous game. The finals was a big comeback for him. He was teary eyed when he raised his MVP plaque.
He's really a mighty player at 5'8"

Pre, ang epektus dumating na  Wink. Tsaka, nagusap na kami ni Pareng Kenneth pero magkikita pa kami sa Wednesday. Salamat pre ng marami. Ako naman ang babawi sa sunod.

Meanwhile here are Jimmy's Slams that I took sa Ratchaburi.
