In that way di masisira ang pangalan ng mga Pinoy.

But I am afraid that this person just does not have any sense of honor.

In that way di masisira ang pangalan ng mga Pinoy.

I really want to see the real Unity among Filipinos in Thailand.

Joining hand and hand towards the future success.

Setting aside religion, personal interest, envy and crab mentality.

Embracing love and peace.

And most of all keeping the faith alive.

1. Reduced "apathy" - many Filipinos just don't care about Filipino reputation, social responsibility, social issues, or doing good in the community
2. Reduced "yabang" - the cringe factor of Pinoy yabang is great: "mas malaki ang pension ng asawa ko kesa pension ng asawa niya", "mayaman kami sa Pinas", "kamag anak ko/kilala ko si [insert name of important person here]", "i'm important", etc. OMG
3. Reduced "insecurity" - the constant comparing of salaries, status, skill, "luck", or whatever makes many Filipinos insecure and leads to gossip and backstabbing
4. Reduced "gossip and backstabbing" - when is it gossip and when is it information? when is it backstabbing, and when is it ordinary complaining or venting to a friend? we have to make the distinctions and balance this ourselves; try to keep confidences, try to talk to the person involved
5. Increased "global and cultural awareness" - step out of your comfort zone every now and then, see the world for what it is, respect culture and language, have some curiosity about how other people live

Thank you to all who "added" to these postings here.

At sa iba pa, please add your suggestions.

Weekends seem to bring out the worst in Pinoy mentality and ugali.

Walang isang salita or phrase to describe what some Filipinos need to improve on, so ikukwento ko nalang.

The total lack of independence, na nagmimistulan tuloy tayong mga bata na walang alam or sobrang "helpless".

I AM LEGEND!

« Reply #12 on: April 24, 2009, 12:13:38 PM »

Be more realistic to change and improvement, especially those organizations who are leaning walls to some.  I know this is kinda vague, and people might think that there can’t be an iota of possibility for this, but who knows?

For example, perceive an organization to be firm and creative on standing by the rights of their members. That will be cool! And when I mean creative, they can probably research as to how those rights can be safeguarded especially when there exist unfair labor practices.

I hope this idea is relevant….
