Hi,

I have an 18-year old brother who wants to visit me here in bangkok... does anybody know if he needs to get the DSWD if he's travelling alone?
and also, he wants to stay here for more than a month which means that he has to go out of thailand to get another 30 days stay, right?
Please help me or give me some advice on how to extend his stay stay in bangkok..

Thanks!

Hi,
I have an 18-year old brother who wants to visit me here in bangkok... does anybody know if he needs to get the DSWD if he's travelling alone?

you can send PM to AnnaV about this matter, as far as I know she applied for Sisa's travel docs at DSWD

and also, he wants to stay here for more than a month which means that he has to go out of thailand to get another 30 days stay, right?
Please help me or give me some advice on how to extend his stay stay in bangkok..

Option 1 :    he can apply extension of stay at the immigration
Option 2 :    he can exit in cambodia or laos thru the assistance of visa run company but he will be allowed for another 15 days only
Option 3 :    he can exit by plane then come back to have another 30 days stamp (permission to stay)

hope it helps Smiley

Hi LynDL,

my brother stayed with me for more than a month so he went to Aranyaprathet to do visa run and he only got 15 more days to stay.
It is possible to stay in thailand for about 3 months only if you have to go in and out of the country twice or more by flying to other country. crossing border only gives u 15 days.

Please ask other members as I am not sure about this.

Thanks Cza.

Nabasa ko nga sa ibang thread na 15 days ang binibigay in a Visa run. I might try suggestion ni Madam H.
She said that there's like a visa promo in Laos, 30 days.  The Dancing

Anyway, thanks again! it's good to know there are Pinoy's in Thailand who are willing to help newbies like me.

I'm going to visit my husband this August and we're planning for me to stay a while, about 3 months?

if you already have a dependent visa (Non-O) no problem with your stay.

but if you will enter in the kingdom as tourist, much better if you apply in the Royal Thai Embassy in Makati for a 2-3 months tourist visa. you will need to submit some documents from your husband's employer related to his working status, copy of his and your passport, i think they require bank account now, marriage contract, etc.

or just enter the kingdom for 30 days stamp, then exit either thru land or plane and enter again in the kingdom. when you arrive in the kingdom, ask your husband and his employer to prepare the necessary documents for you to process a Non-O visa once you exit.
