I'm off to go to Thailand this coming friday, 17 Apr,  but my itinerary's not yet done.  Sana tulungan nyo naman ako sa paggawa ng itinerary.  I'll be arriving at 12 midnight and I don't have hotel accomodation yet till the 19th of April.  From the 20th onwards kasi I have free accomodations sa Dusit Thani (because of a seminar).  I'm planning to go to First House (well, what do you think?, I'm on a tight budget so I'm careful in choosing a good but affordable hotel).  Mas maganda ba ang 4 Seasons?  Help, help....

Actually, my first day in Bangkok will be a Saturday.  Tama bang i-spend ko un sa Chatuchak?  I'm considering buying things to sell when I get back to the Philippines.  Is one day too much for Chatuchak?

2nd day, Grand Place, Emerald Buddha, Reclining Buddha, --- is this okay for a day?  what else can I add to this?  thanks....  Dusit Palace ba is worth visiting?   then Khao San at night

3rd day, Jim Thomson... Kanchabanuri (for the bridge),  Ayuthaya (ruins ?)  ... haha.... I don't know if this one makes sense.

4th day - 7th day - NO IDEA yet... seminar days.... will only be free after 5 PM maybe.  which places do you recommend to visit?  I'd especially dig those near Dusit Thani. Salamat.

8th day - I'd die to have an elephant ride.  So this day I'll definitely spend at the elephant sanctuary. Which other places are near this area?  Is the floating market near? What can you say about the Rose Garden?

9th day - my flight will be at night so I'm thinking that I still have ample time to do sight-seeing.  What places are good to visit?  thanks

btw, has anybody seen the Siam Ocean WOrld.  I want to try their Ocean Walker.

I know if I just read previous posts I'll get a lot of tips.  Unfortunately, I really don't have much time.  Tsk..tsk... tight on budget na nga ako, tight on time pa.  hehe....

I will really appreciate help from you guys.  Thanks in advance.

One day might not be enough. Wink So this is probably a good idea kung hindi mo man maubos ikutin ang Chatuchak pwede ka pang bumalik. Friday by the way open na sila ngayon.

Ok ito plus Vivanmek Mansion. But with Dusit palace? Or dusit Zoo? Or Chitlada Palace wher the King lives?

Wink Jim Thompson is within the city. Kanchanaburi and Ayuthaya are both in separate provinces. Maybe Ayuthaya better for you.

Suan Lum night bazaar and of course Pat Pong. Malapit lang sa Dusit.

a Ayuthaya you can already ride an elephant. There is a floating market around Pinklao. That is near the Grand Palace. pero take note maliit lang ito at bago.

You might be surprise na maraming tanke sa city ngayon. Pero para sa iba attraction ito. Just to warn you, medyo magulo ngayon dito. Hindi sigurado ang mga pangyayari in the next few days. Sana naman matapos na ito at nang magenjoy ka naman sa stay mo dito.

You mean sa Siam Paragon?

Maraming tanke? OMG!  No thanks.. this isn't an attraction for me. Hehe... sana nga matapos na yan.  Last time kasi my seminar to Bangkok was cancelled because of the protests.  Sana naman this time matuloy na.

Yes, I was referring to the Siam Paragon.  I've seen their website and I got super interested.

Master J, salamat pala ng sobrang dami sa immediate response. =)

Many thanks but as I see it now, I don't think I'll be going to bangkok.  Most probably the seminar will be cancelled AGAIN.  I don't know. Maybe, Bangkok isn't really for me..... huhuhu....

The news says that sobrang gulo na daw dyan.  Actually, yesterday there was an advisory from the DFA not to travel to Thailand.  Di na ako nagcheck today kung ano balita because I really lost interest.

I believe the situation has mellowed down. It might create a change to your foiled plan....Cheers always! Don't lose hope and interest.

Agree with ANNAV. Sa budget hotels, mas recommended ang walk-in. Make sure you see the room, net cost, currency to use, check-out time - some can be tricky. Also for ladies, check for peep holes and CCTV. A lot was found out in the area. Enjoy your stay kabayan!

I believe HK$ is already good at the airport. But, once you are in the city, there are other outlets you can try…loads of them actually especially at malls and in Seelom (spelled differently) area.

kung sakaling may plano kayo mamasyal HK, ask nyo lang din ako.

Thanks, hongkongers...Please enjoy your stay. You will find itinerary helpful the other threads in “Visiting Thailand” category, especially from the posts above.

And if you will find it convenient and useful, SPians can probably arrange to show you around...

But, hey, I will also appreciate if you can provide a feedback regarding the brouhaha with that Chip Tsao moron...We will love to hear straight from Hongkong. Here is the thread...

na invite yata si chip tsao sa phil consulate dito. according to my friend napakaganda pa ng introduction sa kanya. yong pag hingi nya ng apology seems added insult to the injury, kasi sabi daw nya di lang naintindihan yong sinulat nya. i'll tell u more pag balik ko galing bangkok.

by the way kamusta na pala dyan, very safe naba. dating ako dyan bukas (22/4) ng 11pm.
any numbers na pde ko matawagan pag naliligaw nako?
