Hi all! or should i say Sawasdee Khrap! Hehe!
Im going to bangkok on May 1-3, its actually 3 days but my flyt departs at 830am so i only have 2 whole days to spend in Bangkok so i want to ask advice on my Itinerary..
1st of all, im going there for 2 reasons, one is that im into Travel Photography, and obviously Bangkok has alot to offer. 2nd is im going to buy commercial items (clothes etc) for my sister who has a business back home.
Please take a moment to thank SP as a whole because the things you will read are not free in Thailand and, for sure, in the Philippines…he he he

And (my) first of all, Your itinerary is a knockout! My eyes almost popped out wide seeing your excruciating plan. BUT, I am not saying it is not feasible because they are. You will just, for sure, be exhausted and end up having a heavy heart realizing that it was not enough. The “real” Bangkok alone is not complete in a 3-day visit. Your plans are fast phased. But, nevertheless, I am in no authority to discuss this with you, correct?
I will advise you, however, of the needed as far as my mind can go…Are you ready? Hold on to your seat…Voila!!!
So here's my itinerary:
Day 1 (Friday)
7:50am - ETA
10-12pm - Grand Palace (Str8 from the airport and after taking my breakfast, i plan of starting my tour here)
Question: Open kaya to on this date kc its Labor Day?
12pm - Lunch
1-2pm - Wat Po
Until here, it seems to be fine. The two attractions are open even during May 1st. I’m actually not sure if the International Labor Day is relevant to Thais. SPians, please help me here…he he he

2-4pm - Free - Can u suggest any interesting area na malapit lng sa area na to? Pwede kaya ko pumunta sa Pin Klao yung floating market daw? saan po ba ung exact location nun? Or san po ba merong mga cultural show or muay thai show na pwede ko puntahan for picture taking?
4-6pm - Wat Arun
6-7pm - Take a sunset photo of Wat Arun across the river
7pm - Dinner (May suggestion ba kau na resto along the river na overlooking the Wat Arun so i can still take photo while having dinner?)
8-10pm - Khao San Road
I would have suggested first to see Wat Arun before Pink Lao floating market because it is very near Wat Po; but you seem to be captivated of the Wat Arun sunset thingy, so proceed as plan. ONLY THAT, in order to save your time and enjoy your 2-hour plan in Pink Lao floating market, PLEASE TAKE A TAXI for your Wat Po-Pink Lao Floating Market-Wat Arun route. You also have to note that it is summer time. The scorching heat of the Thai sun is, for me, unbearable, even at that time!!! In addition, never give the taxi driver any hint that you are a tourist, otherwise you might end up paying an exorbitant fare. You can tell him that you are working in Thailand as a teacher for “pity and respect” purposes. (Gosh, pagandahin mo lang ang English mo ha para bumilib naman sa ating mga Pinoy.) I guarantee that you will have the best fare when you heed to this advice.
Now, are you still with me?
Back to Wat Arun, there is a cozy yet affordable coffee shop protruding from the other side of the Chao Phraya river where you can see the beauty of your “Wat Arun sunset”. You can proceed to Wat Arun first from Pink Lao floating market and roam around the place. Then, take the boat to the other side of the river and head back to Wat Po. Once in front of Wat Po, walk right pass the street and start asking where Museum of Siam is. The coffee shop is in the end of the street fronting the museum where you can see a Thai bank at the corner. The coffee shop, as I told you, is standing on the other side of Chao Phraya river fronting Wat Arun. Mind you, the sunset you are craving is a majestic view of unexplainable chill provided as a backdrop for Wat Arun. The colors will vary right before your eyes as the clock ticks by the minute.
Day2 (Saturday)
9am-1pm - Chatuchak ( I alloted my half day here, coz as i hve said, i need to buy items for my sister, but according to most, di pa daw kasya ang 1 araw? di ba tlga? cguro bibilisan ko nalang pag bili, mostly wholesale nman bibilhin ko, by bulk so cguro ok na ung 4 hrs..)
2-4pm - Pratunam Market (just in case kulang pa binili ko sa Chatuckak, tsaka d2 daw kc ung mga shipping company)
4-6pm - Chitlada & Vimanmek
6-7pm - Baiyoke Sky Hotel (i want to take a sunset shot of Bangkok from the 84th floor, 200bht daw ung entrance fee dba? ok lng po ba na naka shorts doon?)
7pm - Dinner, any suggestion?
8-11pm - Patpong, ************ and Suan Lum (question: san po ba d2 ung bilihan ng fake na watches.. hehehe! ung class A? safe lng kaya? 2nd question, ehem!! san po ba ung mga ping pong show? hahaha!! just for fun lang nman and for experience, pero according to my research mostly, naloloko lng ung mga tourist and they end up paying thousands or harrassed?? so kung may suggestion kayo.. hehehe!)
Day 3 (sunday)
8:30am - ETD for Singapore..
I don’t know about this yet. Other SPians will be available for advice on this.
Anyway, enjoy your “excruciating” (both for you and me) holiday in advance! he he he

And again, don’t forget SP for the recount of your experience…(Hane…
