Hello fellas,
Does anyone here has experience on teaching English to Thai students via Skype? How was it? Did the classes run smoothly?
I didn't have any experience yet teaching Thai students via skype and I don't know how is it to teach them online. I know that it's really difficult to teach them face-to-face so how much more on the internet. Right?
But koreans are quite good in online tutorial.
Please tell me about your experience in teaching Thai students on the internet.
Thanks.

I teach all kinds of students on the internet, Brazilian, Middle eastern, Chinese, asians, etc.
First, they get into my website, fill out the application, agree on terms and conditions, give me their Skype ID and start the lesson. Most of them ask for a free trial, for them to know your proficiency and competence.
In my experience, Thais are the least one to do online, and Koreans are the best. Next are the South Americans, Europians and the Middle easterns.
Teaching online is a daunting job. It's hard to find students and when you have them, it's not easy to maintain, because it needs more dedication on their part and your part as a teacher.
(more later...)

Guys, I salute you for this...But, the way I look at it, it is indeed tasking.
When students pay, especially online, they crave for something big. I don't have to mention the time you should spend attending to their needs. So, how would you go about your daily task? If you a have a full-time job, how are you going to run things?
But, I guess, people will always find time when they want it, or, yes, need it.
Just always think about the law of infinitrability, it is always a wake-up bell.
Good luck to you, guys!

blubinginone..Hi, thanks for your reply. Yah, it's not really easy to do it. But 3 hours/day will be okay to teach online. It's just like having a part-time job in a learning center. Online teaching is even easier because you don't need to go out. Just stay at home and teach. However, it's not very easy to gain trust from people and not easy to find students. Especially when you are a Filipino...hmmm...I hate this issue..
Have a noce day!

Thanks to Eslcorner...
There is just one thing I want to know...How do online teachers collect payments from students? I am thinking for sure they are routed through online payments like paypal and others, right?
I appreciate hearing from you...Good luck always!

Yap, I use Paypal to collect payments from students wherein they can pay via credit cards. But, I do collect payments on my site. Teachers are not allowed to collect directly from students.
Have a nice day!
