Hi kabayans,  I will be spending 2 days in Bangkok on Sept 17-18, 2009. Paki advice naman san magandang pumunta. I want to see temples, kumain ng fruits, mag window shopping. Meron akong 12 hours kada araw to do these. Patulong naman po san ako dapat magstart para at the end of the day on Sept 18, malapit na lang ako sa airport. I plan to make the most of my time dyan. Hindi kailangang madaming makita pero sana yong pinakamatindi na. Hehehehehe. By the way, manggagaling ako ng GenSan, will stay for a few hours in Manila then off to Bangkok. Alas onse ako dadating ng Bangkok, is it ok to spend my time sa airport till day breaks? Thank you in advance and hope to see some kabayan dyan during my stay.

i would suggest you browse previous topics in this category to get idea how to spend your time in Bangkok.

i think your plan to stay at the airport (rather than staying in a hotel or guest house ) is not a good idea because your transportation cost will almost the same as staying in a guest house. bangkok airport is about 40-50 minutes drive from central bangkok area and will cost you more or less 700 baht back and forth. with a 300-500 pesos (not thai baht) i don'n think meron hotel na ganun. but like backpackers staying in khao san area, you can find many guest houses within range of 500 baht

you should read thread of
     (1) ~ anne12 about 4-5 days stays in Bangkok.... we gave her list of guest houses nearby khao san road
     (2) ~ dranreb about 2 days stay in Bangkok.... you can refer to his daily activities there

medyo tight sa time and budget, let's page GRO Bb1 kung ano masasabi nya dyan.

have a  safe trip!!!

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.
It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.
Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow

Thanks Binibining Mariposa for a prompt reply.  Yes Ma'm, na-copy ko na po ang itinerary ni dranleb.  By the way, what i meant by staying in the airport till day breaks is just on my arrival in Bangkok. Parang past midnight ng Sept 17 yata ako dadating jan kaya I plan to stay at the airport till mag umaga ng Sept 17, 2009.  Para kasing mahihirapan akong maghanap ng hotel/inn ng madaling araw. Salamat po ulit sa reply nyo.
