Since social networking is all the rage nowadays, Siam Pinoy wants to keep abreast of new technology, and give our forumers the best the net has to offer. On the other hand, some of us (like me), may not have as much time as others or may not be as tech-savvy or as that into social networking, so we still would like to keep our forum the way it is. Let's think of it as a fusion, a marriage of the old and the old and the new.

So in the next weeks and months to follow, you will see a slow and steady fusion of all three- our forum right here, the Siam Pinoy front page, and the new features of the Siam Pinoy Portal.

We do not expect, nor do we ask anyone to give up their anonymity or their identity in this old forum in the SP Portal. You may remain the way you are here, when you join the Portal. The profile, just like all the other new features are simply add ons, bonuses, if you like. You may use your own avatar from here, the same name, etc. And slowly, we will do our best to have our threads from here fused with the ones in the Portal - if you notice, we've already started doing that.

Also, to highlight the 60th Anniversary of Thailand-Philippines Diplomatic Relations, a new look is just but timely, even necessary.

Anyway, please do give us suggestions, comments, reactions, etc about the new SP Community. We appreciate any and all of your constructive criticisms. We would also love to hear about the things you like about it. And it is our best hope, that you too, will be excited about Siam Pinoy's growth.
