share ko lang po ito experience namin in going to Cambodia by land;

since were booked in Rambutri khaosan area, we spotted a parked taxi ; naka paskil sa kanya - book here 24 hours taxi service to different tour site outside bangkok.
meet Mr Ar klinkrajai # 085 091 2704, a jolly person, a once soldier, now for hire taxi driver.kami yata ang first pinoy niyang customer.
we agreed for taxi to bring us to aranyaprathet/poipet border- 2,500 baht, since we are four so its much convenient than going to Morchit bus station, (imagine-ride from hotel to morchit, then spend time to line and wait for the bus to board.then from bus station in aran tuktuk to immigration office)

in khaosan area, many hotels there have locker room were you can leave your bulky luggages, avoid bringing them all.
in our part we left our luggages in Sawasdee Smile Inn -10 baht per luggage/per day.

the taxi pick us up in our hotel by 5 am. and arrive in aran 8 am. after cambodian immigration,
theres a FREE government bus ride waiting to bring you to bus or camry taxi station to siem reap.
you can change your baht to riel in that station(just small amount) since dollar is widely accepted around Cambodia.
$1 - 4,000 riel
camry- $12 per person, so we paid $48/4, and bring us to 'the Villa" Siem Reap for two hours ride.

in siem reap almost all Cambodians are so polite, good conversation in English than thais.
Cambodians are poor, but very dignified person, smiles a lot like pinoy.

as much as possible, have a Angkor national museum tour first before going to visits diffirent tourist site like angkor wat.
nasa museum din yong mga artifacts na di mo makita sa Angkor thom, bayon, angkor wat, banteay srei.
they have an interactive module to listen to the history ( kaya di mo na kailangan ng tour guide)
www.angkornationalmuseum.com

our short stay, seems really short kasi maraming maganda sa Cambodia to see.

Imagine meron ding Pinay whom we met who work in Angkor national museum, shes the marketing manager.
In the museum, theres also ongoing art ( painting/photography) 2nd floor exhibit  - a FILIPINO ARTIST

from siem reap going back to poipet border,we hire a taxi (our tuktuk guide,mr ou hok help us),
mr Sophath tel# 012 50 86 94 ($40)

sa bangkok pala, when i withdraw in an atm, my 2000 baht withrawal,i was then charged 150 baht.
in Siem Reap atm, i withdraw $100 - surprise, no charged at all.

sana this thread will help others.
salamat sa Siam Pinoy
