Other than Kuya Dennis (the more the merrier di ba?), you can also try Joseph Ong of Pratunam. He is not that active in community gatherings but he, I believe is one of the biggest in this area of business. He comes highly recommended by a friend. Why? Normally, in this business they have to lease a container van. In his case (since established na rin siya) he fills it up quickly meaning faster ang pagpapadala sa Pinas ng mga gamit mo. I will get more info of Joseph then you guys can also email him for comparison with other movers. Si kuya Dennis kilala na rin iyan sa community. So, he is also one of the best option. Just have to ask him how frequent siya magpaship.

Hi there.

Would you be able to help me get the number of Joseph Ong of Pratunam?  I need a balikbayan box sent back home. thank you.

There is one at Chatuchak...Just 2,000 baht for 320 kilos limit with 4 boxes.... But you can't send items for sale.... It's okay to send personal stuff... it takes 2 weeks to arrive..... kinda cheap....

Hello Kabayan,

I learned of SP's website from Friday's' BK magazine (int'l Krungthep article).

I was gonna advised that between Chatuchak and Pratunam, mas mura sa Pratunam pero as one poster suggested, pinakamura raw sa Chinatown/Yaowarat. Eniwey, saan po ba yung Bobay? Di ko pa na-explore yung area na yun (Chinatown/Yaowarat, Little India, Bobay, etc). Marami ba ukay-ukay doon?

Nakapagtanong rin ako about cargo shipping sa isang courier company sa Chatuchak kc I was thinking of bringing home some items from my collection  (I collect vintage handbags. Puno na room namin, lols). Sabi sa akin, meron silang air at sea freight service. Yung air, by kilo ang charging with minimum of 5 kls pero mahal, takes about 3 days. Tapos, pag sea cargo naman, 1 cubic metre daw ang minimum around 2-3 weeks delivery. Pero kung light materials lang daw, they can accommodate six big boxes for 3500 baht.

Regarding customs, as we all know, parang lotto yan. Madalas daw, di sila nagpapataw ng duty pero pag natiyempuhan ka, siyempre no choice ka na hindi bayaran.
