through google search, i think that was a month ago?  Huh? when i received an offer to work in Thailand.

i've tried to search some forum of expats living and working in Thailand, luckily i found SP community! Cheesy
nagpost ako ng questions about living/working in there & i'm glad na marami ang nagreply & share their thoughts..  dami kong nalaman na siguro di ko maiisip kung bsta research lagn ginawa ko  Cool

unfortunately,i turned down the offer for some reasons.  pero ok lng, dahil naging member naman ako ng SP community  Grin i love reading/ sharing my thoughts in here. at least ngayon, may matatanong na uli ako pag babalik ako ng Thailand.  Wink  salamat ng marami  Kiss

The knew Siampinoy four years ago.

At first i saw this sticker of siampinoy on a Toyota sports runner. Since then I try to investigate about this site. It so happened that the owner of the site was from Panay, from then i put some of my time listening to some stories and back ground about the owner. At first i was not impressed coz I tried to open the forum and some of the topics are not that interesting and some are probably self busters. I heard a lot of feedbacks about this site. And that made me not to register.

One day this site stopped. You can't open it. I was curious during that time. And then it went back. Since then I started to open it again and i got nailed by the topics of the SP members. You cannot say no to there topics. That's why i'm here now. And  I want to be a member of this site.

The only regret was, Why i didn't register before.

Facts:  They are very helpful. And Professional.

Better late than never boss!

Steven, anywhere you go you will hear so many things about so many people. Some good and some bad. But at the end of the day, most of the time, they are not against you, those who people who downplay you are only for themselves. Shellfish ba?! Cheesy Accoring to what Lapu-Lapu always say....fish yo!

True. I feel sorry for people who pass judgments based on what they hear, but like Master J says, they're not against you, they're just for themselves.

Good thing Steven, that you gave SP a chance to show you its true colors before deciding it's not worth your time...

I admire people who reserve judgment until they have had time to experience for themselves what it is like to be in SP, and to be with people in SP. That speaks a lot about their maturity.

There is so much to do to make ourselves and our lives better here in Thailand. Hopefully, those who have just started to know SP would get the drift... that this is a website that upholds the best among Filipinos, yet at the same time, it also gives all of us a chance to voice out our deepest concerns about matters
that affect our lives and our work in Thailand.

Happy posting!  Wink

SIAMPINOY  Huh?   What is it ? Huh?

Everytime we relocate from country-country, i always made to it to find a commnunity or group to be with which i can spend my future time with different activities.

When I arrived in Bangkok, I did search for a Filipino community but can't find any. Then, there is the site of SIAMPINOY which I find very helpful and informative especially for  newbie like me. I find them the most sincere people (although in a cyber world) better than those whom I've seen a lot in church.

I'm happy to be with these helpful and intelligent group of people. Meeting them in person made me realize that they were more than I expected.

I am so greatful to have you guys as my friends.

Come and visit me in Bohol!

« Reply #36 on: May 28, 2008, 08:48:48 AM »

I was in a farewell party of an Ilongo teacher leaving for China in Charansanitwong, Bangkoknoi District when I saw this man wearing a jersey with www.siampinoy.com at the back. Being a neophyte in Thailand, I tried to visit the website and it was amazingly great. I saw lots of inspiring stories from Filipinos living and working in Thailand. Then I tried to join the forum which at that time was not so active. I think Madam H and Master J were the most active people on that time.

SP people, let's thank them for making this online community forum happen. Without their religious effort, siampinoy would be impossible. I salute you Madam H and Master J! May our playground in Thailand will continue to grow.

The Philippine tarsier(Tarsius syrichta) is very peculiar small animal. In fact it is one of the smallest known primates, no larger than an adult man's hand. Mostly active at night, it lives on a diet of insects.
