Trabaho ng mga missionary?

Usually marami sa kanila ay English teacher. Ang iba pa dyan may Language school kuno. Pagka tapos ng English lessons - pahabol kaagad ng - Would you like to know more about JC?

Same in Chiang Rai. Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai I believe have the highest concentration of missionaries. Don't know if that is because they are targetting tribal people here who are more succeptible to monetary inducements in exchange for converting.

missionaries

don't know if it'a "job" per se pero that's what many Pinoys are doing up here in CNX. they do get paid decent living wages.

 Wink

On another note, here's a really funny story from the annals of Chaing Mai's history. King Mengrai, who founded Chiang Mai, was being courted by mostly western Christian missionaries who wanted to set up clinics, hospitals, and schools in the city in exchange for the opportunity to do missionary work. King Mengrai, a fiercely devout Buddhist, finally said yes to them. However, he then went on to proclaim to his people that whoever shall convert to Christianity shall be put to death! He was very cunning.

Sorry po, off topic....  Grin

I just noticed that this is the 25th reply to this thread. But if you look at the number of views - it has already surpassed 2,000. It is kind of interesting to see the disparity in the numbers.

Or is it because there are lots of Pinoys shopping for a job?

2 years ago nung nagwo-work pa ako dyan sa Thailand sa isang construction firm marami akong kasamang Pinoy, some are Site Engineers, CAD Draftsman, Quantity Surveyor and there also some Carpenters, Steel man.

There's a line there, said by the King (Roman, probably), in reference to what he is willing to do to spread Christianity... Sabi niya, "... even if I have to kill every nonbeliever to do it!"

Ganoon lang talaga siguro when you believe so much in something as the truth. You are willing to commit murder for such a belief.

Phoenix, check out yanhee Hospital. Heared there are around 30 Filipino nurses working there. And the head of the International Deparment is Dr. Naypa, a Filipino. Please PM Scrubnurse or Chupao is Back for more info.

Hello,

We'll Im here pa sa Cebu, but the company is in the process of applying for my work permit, 2-3 weeks daw. So probably by end of Feb I'll know the result. I still have to go pa daw sa Thailand Embassy in Manila for my non immigrant visa B application daw.
Will it take years in order to bring my family there if ever swertihin and ma approve ung work permit and visa ko?
How much ba salary range for a dental assistant there? may idea po ba kayo. Free accomodation na daw..
I am looking for your answers, comments, advise and inspirational words.. Smiley

thank you.. and I hope to meet you all if granted na i can work there..

hi there brenny,

just my personal thoughts, if i were u i see to it na stable muna kalagayan mo dito sa thailand bago mo isama family mo, pag maayos na visa and work permit mo dito at may maayos ka nang titirhan, then u can bring your family here. see to it na ang salary mo ay makakasapat pag kinuha mo sila, tumaas na rin ang cost of living dito. kung may anak ka naman na nagaaral think further, kasi unless sa International School mo sila papagaralin kasi pag sa thai schools thai ang medium of instruction.

i don't know about the salary range ng dental positions bago lang ding opportunity yan.

fellow sps out there surely have something too... keep posting
cheers:)

It would be easy, in terms of visas, to bring your family here once you have the right papers na. Just make sure kung tutulong ba ang company mo sa pag process ng visas nila which are going to be dependent on yours. You don't have to wait for years to bring them here.

As for the salary, I have no idea. But aside from your accomodation, try to ask for an insurance as well. Hope to meet you in the future.

By the way, please PM or ask Pareng Chupao is Back!, Doc Lani, his wife is dentist working here. Also Pareng Van Helsing, Spellbound and Franz for tips regarding benefits and housing ideas. Mga pre, tips naman diyan Cheesy  Philippines

Thank you all for all the infos na binigay nyo..

Do you have their email address Master J para i can contact them. Nakita ko pala na may nag hire ng dental graduates to work in Bangkok. Sayang gusto ko sana mag apply kasi I am a dentist, i graduated in Cebu Doc. Baka mas nice yong mga benifits nla.. But I'll try to contact my classmates before na wala pang clinic here, they might be interested to work in Bangkok. What is the work nga pala? Dentist or Dental Assistant?

Hi Brenny!

If you don't mind, try to search using the handles (Van Helsing, Spellbound, Chuapo is back! and Franz) that I have given you. Then kindly click on their names/handle to send them private messages. As for the classifieds I think assistant ata kailangan nila. Wink

Hi brenny,

About the position, I think it's more on promoting their dental products by conducting demos to clients, customers or events.  So may opporunity ding mg travel around Thailand.

for more info please send me a PM or send email to adele_nacion@yahoo.com

hi brenny, may tama si ro_se lol... seriously, kung may family ka, best way is try it out on your own first then saka mo na pasunurin ang iyong pamilya... madali lang ang visa application sa dependents lalo na kung tutulong ang opis mo sa processing... evaluate mo muna yung situation mo while working here bago ka magdecide on the right time to take them here... sabi nga ni ro_se, ang malaking factor e yung pag-aaral ng mga anak mo kung hindi sya part ng employment benefits mo... in my case, dahil di ko afford mag-IS ang aking anak, she ended up in a homeschool program (naku, ang sipag pa naman ng anak ko... sa paglalakwatsa!).

ang tax dito for most expats is 18% from what i know, also check yung tax exemptions mo sa mga anak mo (sa akin BC lang ang hiningi nila)... kung magaling ang finance dept. ng opis mo, naihahabol nila yan and you can get tax refunds at the end of the year.  common din ang provident fund dito wherein yung premium mo is shared ng company.  mas magaling din kung yung living allowance mo is given to you in cash para may flexibility ka to choose your preferred residence and save some more...

hope this helps and welcome to SP nga pala... Forum Rocks
