I checked out their website, it looks very newbie, not much information in there. You are required to register first before you can get any more info.

Looks good though, especially for ESL/EFL teachers. They send out teachers to china, taiwan and Vietnam. yay! If you know nurses, recommend this biz to them also.

Nakakamiss nga ang Singapore BP. Imagine in my 10+ years here in Bkk minsan lang akong umuwi ng Pinas. Pero ilang beses akong tumawid ng Singapore. At times punta sa umaga at balik kaagad  sa gabi.

As for the opportunity maybe this would be interesting para kay Scrubnurse at mga katropa niya.

Tips: Looking and applying for jobs nowadays between April and May.

1. Do not apply to Schools or Agencies that hire Native Speakers from UK/US/EU/AU/NZ.
2. Dress for success, wear that looks a professional teacher.
3. Pinoy Teachers must not have the same copy cat or the same style of resume or profile when two go together to apply. Copied objectives or brief philosophy of education and other context or words use which are obvious will be a suspicion of no brain applicants.
4. Be polite and do not talk much or ask more questions even though you know better than the boss.
5. Look straight at the eyes of the interviewer with confident and interest.
6. Smile and say, "Yes!" with approval to his positive or negative statement and do not disagree the inteviewer's statement.
7. Do not use slang such as ya, yeah, wanna or gonna or blah blah wordings.
7. Use your common sense.

additional info po:
#1 = while some schools advertise for native speakers from the above-mentioned countries, find out by calling or emailing if they will "consider" near-native or Filipinos also. I'm finding this is acceptable with some schools even if they don't advertise it.

#4 = ...kung kaharap mo sa interbyu ang isang puti, wag mag-atubuling "ibenta" ng mabuti ang sarili at sabihin ang lahat ng kaya mong gawin or willing pagaralan para gawin. hanap nila ay 2: kompiyansa sa sarili @ kung ano'ng alam mo o kaya mong alamin. sa pandinig ng Pinoy, ito ay pagyayabang, pero hindi po nila ito titignan bilang pagyayabang. tandaan lamang, speak only the truth.

#6 = sa halip na "yes", isang simpleng "thank you" sa mga pagpupuri o pagpuna. ang hanap nga nila ay kompiyansa sa sarili at ang umaamin sa kahinaan. warning lang po: wag nang banggitin ang ibang kahinaan!

added #7 = it is considered polite and professional to ask: "when will you be making a decision about this position?" at the end of an interviw. notice the language? you are both assuming that the school has a deadline which you respect. you did not ask "when will you call me to tell me if i'm in or not?" it also helps both of you to decide to move along or wait.

In another thread nabanggit ko po na naghahanap ang Sinapore ng mga teachers, mga 3000 po ang kinakailangan.

Now i don't know if this means they will look to their own people to supply this demand, but i'm almost sure that because of good business environments, most Singaporeans do not look to teaching as a lucrative career. I could be wrong, don't quote me. If true, this is a good opporunity for Filipino teachers. I found one such school while bumming around on the 'net:

Lots of jobs posted an a variety of fields, you have to register for them to consider you, and not all jobs are immediate openings. Kung baga they are anticipating these positions. So, register agad.

once invited din sa singapore, pero napakaspecific ng qualification, but salary is really promising. kaya sa bi ko sa owner, sige balik aral muna ako.. hehehe

sg for singapore. this country is very expensive. it hires workers specifically professionals. singaporeans study six years in their high school, just like thais. do you know what most ofws do their?

schools and agencies in thailand accept whoever they want to fill the vacancies in teaching jobs and different levels. it is still inexpensive compare to many countries in asia. jobs? this is an issue for ofws. invest your time, gather a lot of info, make more friends and contacts, have your resume/cv ready or renew it. make decision to stay and hunt, leave or keep waiting...

whatever jobs available... as long as legal,non-humiliating and no human rights violation... go pinoy , i strongly believe we are knowledgeable, skilled and easy to cope with working demands.
