Camera on Films, how bout if we called you COF? Anyway, bout your Pinay friend, she can study here of course and stay on a student visa. She can also work as a nanny, and the ones who will give the most pay are also Westerners like you. But she will have to travel/do a visa run every 3months, and she can't go to the same country twice within the same year. And then every month, before she goes out of the country, she has to go to the border to have her visa stamped. There's a German guy (I think) who does these visa runs with his Thai wife, and they're pretty efficient. If she doesn't mind the physically tiring runs, then she should be OK. If she could get on a 15 (or is it 18) - unit program in the Philippines that would give her a diploma in education, so much the better. This summer (March-May) should be a good time to scout for this option. She might be able to finish it in just one summer. Schooling here, well the fees for English programs are atrocious. I suggest she takes up a diploma course before coming, and when she's here, she can work as a nanny first while looking for a teaching job. Actually, the best time to look for teaching jobs is right now. If she has some money, she can just try it out this summer - some and look for a job. After July, it would be hard to find teaching jobs or even nanny jobs, for that matter. Then if she's lucky to find one this time, she can just take online courses while on the job. Great luck! We are actually glad that you feel we have a way of helping out with your questions.

Good pm to all Siam Pinoys out there. Thanks for accepting me here.
I am cherie, just new here in bangkok and still finding my way here. Hope all of you will be a great help. I used to work in a consultancy firm for Australia and Canada migration and still connected in some way (marketing research).
Relocating from time to time has been a part of my life. And adjustments has been a major enemy of mine. I've been to Korea and been a volunteer for Filipino Catholic Community year 2004-2005., Thank God I have found this community. I've been to Istanbul, Turkey year 2006 and have found International Women of Istanbul where I have met more Filipinas and we have formed an Asian Group in Istanbul. Lots of fun and community service too.
And now here in Bangkok, Thailand.. hmmm Thank God for having your SiamPinoy group.. or should i say our group.. yehheyyyyy i am one of them now..
Love to know you all and i believe that you will be a very very big help to me..
Thanks to you.. Madam and Master
