For me, joining Siam pinoy is one hell of a chance. I'm very happy to get in touch with Master J, Bol-anon, Woz, Anna V, Madam H, Cholo, Defect, Jo D Mango and a lot more. Here you can relate your problems and you can get an advice in a matter of minutes. The members are sweet and fabulous. And if you want some jobs...... Well just ask one of the members I have no regret i joined the siam pinoys family. Cheers everybody.

What do I like about SIAMPINOY?
Hmmm... way back in the Philippines, I have been joining online forum and online communities as a part of my teen life. If you are familiar with mIrc, yes, I am one of those MiRc addicts before (forgetting meals just to stay in the track for the whole day as channel operator and helper ^_^). It's fun to have online friends and it's more fun when you meet them personally. It seems like you know each other for a long time and you're acting like you are so close calling each other's pseudonym.
And it's the same in siampinoy. It's very interesting to have online friends and meet them in the long run. The better side is, you do not meet for a dinner or drinks only but for some ideas exchange. Now, my teenage life has gone and I am more matured like do meet online friends and discuss heavey topics related to my profession. (I met Madam H last Feb 2 during the IEE at QSNCC and we talked like we know each other personally for a long time.) THAT'S GREAT!
I found siampinoy not just a place where I could have fun whenever I am bored but it is also a place for professional development. Here, you have the chance to interact with other pinoy intellectuals which would oftentimes make you feel that YEAHHH!!! I am one of them! Hot issues related to our profession, nation and community are discussed here and they make us think.
SIAMPINOY is a great place. It's a great online place for lifelong learning. So if you think that your brain isn't working anymore, join us at SIAMPINOY and I can make sure that everything will work better than before.
SO LET'S KEEP THE FIRE BURNING! FORWARD PINOY! FORWARD SIAMPINOY!

This is one of the things i like about Siam Pinoy - reading what others like about Siam Pinoy! Seriously, though Master J and I have been in Thailand for more than a decade now, and we have started, organized, joined in many Pinoy-related activities, Siam Pinoy has always been the most fun and most fulfilling project of all. Through Siam Pinoy, we have met many new friends, and glad to say, they are growing to be more meaningful, and with a deeper purpose. The kind that gets beyond just sharing dozens of whiskey bottles (though we also had several times of those! Fun,fun, fun!) I like Siam Pinoy because there is a sense of genuine care and a sense of purpose with what we do, whether it's for fun, for information, for entertainment,or minsan, wala lang, trip lang mangulit! LOL

without SIAMPINOY....I couldn't have accomplished the following: a. the motivation to write articles b. the inspiration to help start a Filipino community in Chiangrai c. as a team player in coming up with series of BENEFICIAL activities for Filipino teachers d. great people with great personalities esp. the SP FAMILY!

Madam h, there are lots of good things about SP to the point na kailangan natin ng nice oxymoron to briefly write it down. But to do away with this minor problem, I would say SP strengthens the bonds of friendship among Filipinos in the country, alleviates the feeling of monotony by some members, and serves as a good source of info for everyone in the cyberspace. On SP’s forum section, I would simply say it's a “smart blog” Cheers!

Frankly speaking, SIAMPINOY is a blessing to me. It made me realize more my real aim of coming in Thailand. I remember, I was very new in thailand when I saw a guy wearing a jersey which has www.siampinoy.com printed at the back. That time, I was very eager to meet other Filipinos here so I tried to visit the website. To my surprise, the forum is very dull so I just decided to keep on visiting hoping that someday it would become active until Master J sent me an e-mail. Master J's e-mail followed by chat at YM and then some SMS started the difference. I thank siampinoy for believing in me though I was a stranger at that time. It was a very simple commitment which eventually change my life in Thailand. Filipinos in Thailand would never be the same because of SP.

C_Pinoy and Bol-anon, As I said in another thread, it is you guys who continue to post and get involved in the discussions, and even those who simply visit and just read the discussions who give us the fuel, the energy and the inspiration to move forward and reach for new heights. We can never thank you guys enough for your contributions to our forum, and glad that you find something of use for SP in your lives.
