THAT'S GOD

Have you ever been just sitting there and all of a sudden you feel like doing something nice for someone you care for?
THAT'S GOD... He talks to you through the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever been down and out and nobody seems to be around for you to talk to?
THAT'S GOD... He wants you to talk to Him.

Have you ever been thinking about somebody that you haven't seen in a long time and then next thing you know... you see them or receive a phone call from them?
THAT'S GOD... There is no such thing as "coincidence."

Have you ever received something wonderful that you didn't even ask for? Like money in the mail, a debt that had mysteriously been cleared, or a coupon to a department store where you had just seen something you wanted,but couldn't afford?
THAT'S GOD... He knows the desires of your heart...

Have you ever been in a situation and you had no clue how it is going to get better, but now as you look back on it, you got through it?
THAT'S GOD... He passes us through tribulation to see a brighter day.

     God's love is all around us and beautiful it is to see,
     Like Autumn leaves a' falling and the rippling of the sea.
     Like flowers in full bloom with colors glowing bright,
     Like fireflies all around us, just lighting up the night.

     God's love is in a rainbow shining in the sky,
     And with the little birds that are ever flying high.
     In our little children, precious one and all, in Winter
     and the Springtime, the Summer and the Fall.

     God's love is on the mountain, where the trees are very green,
     and down in the valley where much of life is seen.

          I am God. Today I will be handling all your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help.

          If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attemp to resolve it. Kindly put in the SFGTD (Something For God To Do) box. All situation will be resolved, but in My time, not yours.

          Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.

          If you find yourseld stuck in traffic: Don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard privilege.

          Should you have a bad day at work: Think of the man who has been out of work for years

          Should you grieve the passing of another weekend: Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.

          Should your car break down, leaving you in miles away from a distance: Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

          Should you despair over a relationship gone bad: Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.

          Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.

          Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had a hair to examine.

          Should you find yourself a victim of other people's bitterness ignorance, smallness or insecurities: Remember things could be worse. You could be one of them!

THE EXPECTATION OF ETERNAL LIFE WITH CHRIST

A little girl whose father had just died asked her mother where he had gone. "To be with Jesus," replied her mother.

A few days later, talking to a friend, the mother said, "I am so grieved to have lost my husband."

The little girl heard her and, remembering the earlier conversation, asked, "Mother, is a thing lost when you know where it is?"

"No, of course not," said her mother.

"Well then, how can Daddy be lost when he has gone to be with Jesus?"

The little girl had hit the nail on the head. To say that at death a Christian "goes to be with Jesus" is not a euphemism but a reality.

TODAY'S INSPIRATION:

This is great, take a moment to read it, it will make your day! The ending will surprise you.

TAKE MY SON....

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art.They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire th e great works of art.

When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.

About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands.

He said, "Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you, and your love for art." The young man held out this package.

"I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this."

The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting.

The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. "Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift."

The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.

The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.

On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. "We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?"

There was silence.

Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, "We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one."

But the auctioneer persisted. "Will somebody bid for this painting. Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?"

Another voice angrily. "We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Goghs, the Rembrandts. Get on with the real bids!"

But still the auctioneer continued. "The son! The son! Who'll take the son?"

Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son.
"I'll give $10 for the painting." Being a poor man, it was all he c ould afford.

"We have $10, who will bid $20?"

"Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters."

"$10 is the bid, won't someone bid $20?"

The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son.  They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.

The auctioneer pounded the gavel. "Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!"

A man sitting on the second row shouted, "Now let's get on with the collection!"

The auctioneer laid down his gavel. "I'm sorry, the auction is over."

"What about the paintings?"

"I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings.

The man who took the son gets everything!"

 


God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: "The son, the son, who'll take the son?"

Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.
