Welcome! Post your entries or words, they may be questions or answers. What are the problems, you are facing nowadays? What can you say about Pinoy Teachers? Encouraging Pinoy Teachers to take action. A teacher is every person who can teach a language, religion, any subjects, a little baby, and any new thing. He or She is an expert at something. A mentor, a mediator, an arbiter, and maybe a moderator.Recommended online dictionary http://www.thefreedictionary.com/

That's nice a comment. However, I suggest the title be changed again because the current change lacks luster. Bland titles can be considered as forum glitches as you may not attract forummers to post messages or even readers, AND I don't like to be associated with lack-lusting forums, I am sorry for that. Why don't we call this thread Pinoy Teachers Exchange. I guess that would be perfect and we make this thread as the suggestion center of what Filipino teachers would like to talk about, be it in English or Filipino; but, I really suggest English to help us build an impression. That is very important I believe. THEN, we start creating new threads based on what we can gather. MOREOVER, if you can probably suggest to the moderators to create an exclusive General Category bearing the suggested title, I think that will be great. In this way, forummers and readers can start threads according to their passion, even not in English, so long as it is for the Filipino teachers and by the Filipino teachers in Thailand. Or, better still, agree to delete this thread and just come up with a refreshed one where I will support you. As you can see, this thread has undergone a number of changes ranging from small and moderate issues and it is not a good start. What do you think? I feel you are a teacher of worth. Are you a newbie too? I haven't seen you much here and unlike me, I think I was received in various heights (rude and nice) since I started posting here in SP. But, it is okay. I was informed of their characters already, I mean the old-timers. Way ahead, ajarn ph!

sometimes, we have to deal with bloggers (not "forumers" anymore) individually because a topic can be heterogeneous or completely different to others because of experiences, interests and abilities. you may consider to blog or not, this is the same as Pinoy Teachers Exchange.
Both Tagalog and English are official languages of the Philippines and allowed to be used in this category or issue, Pinoy Teachers.
what i think is good, better or best. i am not a newbie or beginner anymore. i am a full member. please avoid the pinches and punches exchange. for your information only.
what makes a good teacher? my answer is he or she is always on time. anymore input or output?

what makes a good teacher is, you must love what you are doin. when your students are learning and applying that knowledge making their life better or different from yesterday moving them forward, that is compensation enough. most of all when your students are teaching/sharing the knowledge they learned from you, they are productively effecting others, wow man that is heavenly. you think so? mythoughts

yes, lapu-lapu "love your work" excellent! the relationship between a teacher and his or her students is very important. the students learn and the beginner teacher, too. the experienced teacher can learn something new.
a teacher represents as a parent at school and the students are the same as children.
life is learning and experiencing something new. life is like an imaginary school that exists in our mind. we can learn, relearn and unlearn anything by heart and action for the betterment of life.

What makes a good teacher.
A teacher must be knowledgeable on whatever he teaches. He must have a good interpersonal relationships with his students and colleagues. He must be prepared on his lessons before going to class and be able to impart the knowledge that he has. He must be a role model in the society.

I can see in your replies from good to excellent are remarkable. You are adroit or skillful in thinking and answering the question. A teacher can be a mother or father, too.
"Education starts at home." Love and kindness start in the family. A good model family is a good model to society.
This is the way we do it, here. To be irenic or promoting peace and everything will flow like heaven's peace or bliss.
I can ask you a question and you can ignore it. Likewise, you can ask me a question and I can ignore it. But we will not ignore each other personally. Others will answer the question.

A teacher. He or She is a single or married person and whatsoever status. We avoid or will not discriminate a person but the idea whether right or wrong. Everyone has to use the language.
What is the language for?
The above question sounds simple but by contributing your answers, everyone can examine or inspect why we have to use the language. some will learn something interesting and intellectual view. whether it is old or new.

a good teacher is very hard-working. have you ever tried to check/grade thousands of test papers, assignments and student school works. it is not very easy. you have got to be strong and inspired to check test papers. mythoughts.

A good teacher is the one who is so sensitive of his/her students' emotion. He/She understands the needs of the learners as human beings and views them as a person who needs guidance and scaffolding.
A good teacher is the one who believes that his/her students are capable of doing near-to-impossible things or even the imposible ones. He believes the limitless success that students can achieve.

a good teacher is someone who understand and wields the power of the imagination as a learning tool more so the imagination as the key to productive learning. as the saying goes "a picture speaks a thousand words" today kids are more visual oriented and have created realities in their imagination. they have become Visual-spatial learners. "Visual-spatial learners think in pictures rather than in words. They learn better visually than auditorally. They learn all-at-once, and when the light bulb goes on, the learning is permanent. " multimedia such as t.v. radio music internet computer games mobile communications and virtual realities are expanding their imaginative realms. a better teacher must understand this! if you want to enter their worlds! mythoughts peace yo!

i put or add a bit of information in the superscript and subscript. you can do, too. anyone could say, "Everybody knows that." the issue is, what can you say? anyone can be a wise listener or a clever talker.
A teacher shares his/her experiences. Lapu-Lapu and Tarsier have shared or contributed the meaning of an Ideal Teacher. In this way, the teacher has to use the language. Language is very important. How important is it? Without a language, we may die.
i don't say or use the word stupid to anyone but if anyone uses or says the word stupid to someone, he or she may be angry or crazy. It is best to use the appropriate or exact words in using the language.

Sorry but I cannot be that helpful in this thread, for I am not a teacher. I tried it in my first two months in Thailand but I failed, not in educating my former Thai Students but in keeping control and discipline inside the classroom. I am short tempered and I don't like saying things twice nor repeating myself. So I quit and get a profession that is really in-line with what I finished at the University. And so far so good.

Defect, thanks for your personal remark. There are Pinoy Teachers who are choosy in levels of students to teach. I encourage everyone has to learn new thing to enlarge our experiences. Whatever the levels of anyone's line or field, he or she can learn a new subject or job. Everyone can learn by heart. It may takes time, hold on to your courage and do not lose hope. Whatever your choice, take action. You or I can always change the idea or choice.
This can be a teaching resource category, others can join and start discussing about Pinoy Teachers info.

Here's my piece... Did you know that the Bible's "Book of Proverbs" is a good teaching tool? Proverbs are "wise sayings" that are included in the Bible as guidelines for life. ~ http://www.suite101.com/lesson.cfm/18981/2412Here's one verse you can start with... (Pro 22:6) "Train a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."World Peace!

WebAdmin, I think this thread should be move on Teaching Resources Category.
It's okay here because the General Discussion category says, "Feel free to talk about anything and everything in this board." Yes you're absolutely right Lengrad, this actually fits here basing on that qoute. But where is much appropriate? Okay, lets say a Teacher visits SP because he/she hears that there are a lot of useful information here. So when he/she browse for teaching information will he/she go to the general category threads? or at the teaching resources category? That will be like looking for a Milk at the Diaper Sections

(Pro 22:6) "Train a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."World Peace! Van Helsing! That is one of the best quotes. Biblical is always the best way to learn and the most recommended to read. "Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway." Anyway, The Paradoxical Commandments "Finding Personal Meaning in a Crazy World", Kent M. Keith"a kick in the teeth" "if you describe the way someone treats you as a kick in the teeth, you mean that they treat you badly and unfairly, especially at a time when you need their support."The one who is in the right position to take action can execute the best for peace and order, and to reinforce the situation. an ordinary individual can take action, he or she can becomes an anarchist.tnx preng ajarn_ph... sadly i'm not that perfect to seriously follow those teachings, because i'm still a sinner Reading those proverbs and relating each of them with what we are currently doing, is like stabbing our heart with a big knife but it will surely leave something behind which will make us a better person
