Nobody asks because they all know or maybe nobody knows. You can ask if you don't know or understand. You can dare or have the courage to ask or take action if there is no danger. Sometimes but not always, I believe the speaker is the doer. I do. When I happened to say or post, "Some people are willing to go back to the past..." I went back to see my recent posting and I saw some or a few errors or mistakes, misspellings or the incompleteness. Because it is in my control or grasp, I have taken action to do the corrections. BUT then, again and again, life is an endless imperfection. My only way to get rid of it (the imperfection) is to think the bold and red below. Teachers do corrections. Education is a process of learning, needs experiences and resources. Carry on to what you believe and love. Teachers love teaching and students. Students love school, classmates and teachers. Teachers are speakers and skillful in conversation. A teacher who is good in conversation makes a good relationship with his or her students. Test question: What is teach TPR?
I am sharing to you successive quotes: Whatsoever, "Just post." said the web master. Sounds, "Freedom!!!" shouted by the "Brave Heart" actor. "Where do we go from here?" you must have heard this song. "I don't wanna talk about it." you can name the singer or forget about it. Whenever one is angry, he or she may be out of control of his or her thought and emotion. Love is the only way, to restore his or her senses. I believe LOVE is wisdom and it teaches us. I recommend to any person who has not yet read this, a chapter of love message. Click the link, http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/1corinthians/1corinthians13.htm

Do not be offended if you meet a challenge or provoking questions or statements in applying a teaching job. You may be asked, "What faculty of studies did you finish?" "We don't accept Filipinos." "We accept Native English Speakers only."

Does it sound a warning or ominous phrase, "Native English Speakers only"? It caught my attention at ajarn.com and had discussed and exchanged reasoning here at siampinoy.com about its issue using opinions because of experiences and fact-based evidence or situation. If any good person or Pinoy who has a good command of English with a very good accent even better than some of the Native English Speakers, he or she must be very confident and will be able to get the right job with good connection too. If someone gets the job right away because he or she accepted may be less or more of the minimum salary, that is a blessing. All I know is the salary most often is a hot issue. There was a problem or conflict I knew. The same two Pinoy nationals would argue, one was a graduate of Education and the other was not. Both persons were teaching at the same agency where in there was no unity. I came to post an idea that a passport is what a person needs to travel around the globe or land at any places. So does the Bachelor's Degree holder of any field can land at any job or work. Of course, everyone needs money, even the rich people want it more. Have you thought of this idea to yourself? If we can not help ourselves in anyway, we will try helping others in whatever way. That is what a Samaritan does. That is taken from a Biblical term - Luke 10:33. I have been expecting someone to join this forum or blog and say something. I have input some mix ideas, metaphoric description to give a meaning but it might be sounded as a joke or humor to some readers. Say, everybody is "as busy as a bee". "Every man should work to live" because "life is not a bed or roses" but full of thorns. The thorns can be the pain and sufferings, may be problems or trials. Everybody knows very well those familiar quotes that need quotation marks and they add colors or knowledge in reading about any piece of information. They can be wisdom or reminders. Initiative. This word can stir up someone who has an enthusiastic mind. Take your own initiative is doing things without being told. If a beginner does not have any idea how to start, he or she has to take his or her own initiative to learn slowly or quickly depending on ability. I believe everyone needs words of encouragements. Thinking is not enough if not put into action. An artist may use his/her imagination but he/she must have to move his/her hand, paintbrush or pencil to illustrate whatever his/her mind leads him or her and to create something like a masterpiece. Does anyone have an update about present or new job? Is there anyone who is experiencing first day, week or month at school? Let us hear!!!

Rich daddy, rich son. Rich mommy, rich daughter. Every car has one or two students to send and pick them up from schools. Parents do this routine because they care so much for their children. More vendors have arisen, it is because of the higher cost of living than before. Some people have to make money in a better way because that is what they believe. Some people might be forced to do the opposite of better way and they are caught and brought to the so-called rehabilitation center.

When the going begins this 2nd of June, I will share you the experience. I actually have mixed feelings: excited about the teaching and salary (of course) and anxious about waking up so early again (sigh). Ajarn, hope you wouldn’t mind polishing your parallelism and some other stuff. You’re good but need polishing up. You like to be better or best, right? No offense really, just sharing. You like sharing too, right? I like sharing as well. If you have something to share, please feel free all the time.

Blubinginone! Thanks for your input and congratulation to your new job. I guess you have found the right school. I believe that a well-dressed and polished shoes must be parts of a Pinoy Teacher's personality. But something in the person that tells who he or she is. You can look around wherever you go, you will know and you can tell who is the eye of the people. He or She is the attractive one. The attitude is important part of it(the attractiveness). Someone might not be attractive because everyone is not the same. Pinoy Teachers should always use their brain.

Pinoy Teachers must know that not all people use much of their brain. Nobody knows but a person might have used a peanut size of his/her brain and he/she could be an owner of a school, an agency, a manager or president of a company. I believe some people don't use much of their brain. They don't think much. They don't use much of their thinking skill. Some Pinoy Drivers use much of their eyesight day or night, step on gas pedal or accelerator and beep or honk their vehicles very often than braking or slowing down. I have interviewed a 13-year old intelligent teenager yesterday by phone. I asked, "Which do you use more, your thinking or feeling?" He answered very quickly, "Thinking!!!" He is really brainy, he uses more of his mental skill. Some people and women especially, use much of their feeling and might become very emotional at something or someone. It is good to pour out some but not all of your sentiments to a friend who is very understanding to you. Some or few people will keep the problem to themselves and they have their own reasons. Be strong. Be brave. Be courageous!!!

Let us encourage ourselves to be good to excellent Pinoy Teachers. Everyone must understand that it takes time to learn a language especially to Thai students or people that English is only a foreign language to them. I would not say you minimize talking your own dialect but try to avoid using it as best as you can. Promote the English speaking Pinoy Teachers wherever you go in or out of the school. Everyone can develop it by time and effort. We might have improved our listening skill from movies, news and recordings but how about speaking or talking? Practicing the accent personally a Pinoy Teacher has to do a lot of reading out loud alone, singing out loud and talking out loud. Accent is not enough when you run out of words or vocabulary to say in two or three hours conversation. A Pinoy Teacher has to be open in all topics of conversation. I will be happy to join in a phone English conference to promote the name of Pinoy Teachers. I used to do this before and it was real fun and it helped some Pinoy Teachers to improve more but sometimes we might be forgetting and the conversation ended as gossip, nonsense, and even argument. Why? Anyone would think to himself/herself: "I'm much better than you!!!" It is not a competition, it is a conversation.

Hello! Some people, newbies or beginners might be easily offended by may be a snide comment or sensible remark, critical or opposite view of reply. These people are probably timid, naive, very quiet or may be loquacious. Let us encourage what is good, better or best. Tell them to take action what is right and wise. Once they have taken a first step of challenge to post and use their reasoning in positive and possible way to be constructive, they will keep doing it with momentum and it goes on like a pendulum. Any Pinoy Teacher who is very understanding about life or knows anything about teaching will always be helpful. He or She would say or do what is useful, promote friendship, create a non-threatening or safe atmosphere. I have found out that some concerned people are busy of their own, hesitant or not willing to join. I believe that the thought of, "mind your own business" is one of the problems of our community and society. Everybody is busy, so do not try to make them fussy. But anyone who might have taken of thinking something for unselfish way, just start doing it as soon as you can and you will discover the wonder of your plan. Take care your health and mind.<ajarn_ph>

Noone is immune to needless suffering. If you are having a problem that is not yours, find a way to solve it in anyway. You can feel it, you may ignore it. Noone likes to have it but problem comes when you try to escape from it. Nowadays, some Pinoy Teachers or people are facing problems and trials in life. How to deal or settle these problems in difficult time or situation? Do not panic. Do something. Do a lot of mental work, use thinking skill. You can pray, you don't play. You have to be practical, you don't have to be miserable. How is the work or hunting jobs? You must be very happy if you are having a job now. Even though you are having less monthly salary, it is your income or even just an hourly rate payment you get from work, be thankful and cheerful. Save whatever way, go simple way and spend less. If a person has no job, he/she may be afraid to starve. If there is no money, anyone can go crazy. Always remember: Do not panic. There is always a way. Try, pray. And do something. Some people who have jobs, they complain much about their work. Some people who don't have jobs, they don't worry for having no work. There are people who have money and they are not happy. There are people who have less or no money and they are very happy.<ajarn_ph>

Cheer up!!! There is always a way or door or/of opportunity. There will be chances to come, you have to face them and ready to take action. Whenever there is a challenge, it is calling you and take it. Spend your time at the internet, ask your closed friends to pray for you. Have faith and do not lose hope.
Looking for job may be difficult for you. Hunting ability needs skills and patient. Do not be discourage and do not waste your time to entertainments. Everyone who is in need a job must sometimes has to endure a little time or more, searching, applying, waiting, phoning, asking, thinking and initiating everything you can take action and using your common sense.
Pinoy Teachers are every professional individual who abandon their line of field and with their interest to education or in whatsoever reasons, they started teaching and become Pinoy Teachers in many levels.

Some schools are willing to accept some Pinoy Teachers for the minimum salary per month. Most schools or recruiters are very particular about the applicant's accent. So, any Native English Speaker or Westerner will be their best choice. Some or most of Thai Professionals will mostly prefer Farang(Foreigner/s) regardless of the education, experience and race except Filipinos. Who will argue with this idea? Some Pinoy Teachers may be excellent in speaking English and their accent is like Native English Speakers, but of different line of field or is not a graduate of educational field, the chance of the application is fifty-fifty. It is better not to expect. On the contrary, some Pinoy Teachers who are education graduate but their accent is questionable, the chance is fifty-fifty. Who want to share a story? Some or most of the Pinoy(Filipinos) may be unaware but they noticeably pronounce or express the sound of F as P, V as B and other few sounds that need to be improved in talking about intonation, stress and modal sounds such as happy, sad, hungry, joy. Say with feelings.<ajarn_ph>

what a Pinoy Teacher can do to make his/her students speak? An effective, efficient teacher, experience, and beginner teacher can discover the difference by learning the attitude of students. Students can be offended by lots of correction, repetition and humiliation. encourage the students, don't force them. applaud the brave and smart ones, show smile and wave like a friend to the timid ones. a teacher can be an entertainer, a speaker and not a stranger. you may accept it or not, can a teacher be a clown? teachers in many levels can do many things. attention should be given to students, not that a teacher himself or herself wants to be given attention. what is the technique in teaching English conversation to make the students speak more and the teacher speaks less?

It is a very good idea and I encourage Pinoy Teachers in many levels to write your journal, the experiences of your own. So, those who search, read or learn about such related information will be able to understand and have the perspective view of the real-life in the land of smiles, in the real world of teaching. Enjoying learning, enjoy teaching. <ajarn_ph>

Have you worked hard but did not feel tired? Have you looked for a job many times but did not get one? Have you tried applying and sending resumes as many as you can but did not get a reply? Do you understand the reasons why and are there blaming and bothering thoughts? Luckily we are alive, what a blessing we are still breathing. The ups&downs of life teach us to refresh&restart. How are you? You say, "I'm fine". How is your job? You may say, "so-so". How about your health? You say, "okay". How about money? You say, "at pay day". How about relationship? You may say, "you are crossing the borderline". I am sorry.
What can you share? Share without feeling shame.

Please, if anyone has any comment or opinion to the previous postings here at the topic line of "Pinoy Teachers - for your information only", do take action. Whatever the messages that have caught your attention, let it out, let them be heard and say something encouragement or constructive criticism. Thank you. A beginner and pioneer teacher must be expecting the school to give him or her a work permit to have a one-year visa. Not many schools give a probationary period of 1-3 months. That sounds good to most people. I know that the teachers must usually pay for the fees charged by the Ministry of Education (MoD), the Ministry of Labor(Department of Labor in Provinces), and the Immigration Department along with other expenses. Of course, what the school gives in exchange for the teaching job is the teacher's salary for the period of 9 or ten months or twelve to the less paid or with other accommodations or privileges.<ajarn_ph>

Hello, there! Welcome always. This is not a monopoly forum. I am waiting or expecting someone or interested Filipino teachers to share some good things you already know that will give benefit to other who seeks information about this topic or subject. Do you remember? The first news that came out about the "3.3 million Filipino youth out of school" and the same story goes on to the other websites. It is good news to spread the gospel truth, bad to worst if we spread the gossip. "Refuse to listen to gossip." Back to work, teaching job, or hunting one. Here are the questions respectively: Have you eaten your meal? Are you ready for your lesson? Are you confident with your qualification and have original papers to show? I always learn and believe the saying, "Don't worry, be happy". Whatever is better, less or more of it it means good or best. Take care always.<ajarn_ph>

I have been reading and hearing complains about the reaction "Why native English speakers only?". "This is Thailand." Many of us might have forgotten to see the crystal ball every day in the mirror. Everyone has it. I have my crystal ball which is my head. The school itself wants or needs such category. The accent, look, color or face. Straight talk. Good for them who are not even native but have the same or similar color, face, look and sound. Just know, I am listening to the song, "True Colors" by Cindi Lauper. She says, "I see your true colors, Shining through, I see your true colors, And that's why I love you." The true Filipino teacher will show his or her true color within, that's why the school loves you. Everyone believes you because of the good example or you have shown such a model of being a true Filipino teacher. Even you leave the school, it will remember you of being a good one.<ajarn_ph>
