I'm starting this thread because i want to share my knowledge and experiences in staying healthy. My name is Steven. I'm 30+ years old give or take. Height: 5' 11" Weight: Before 85kgs pure fats - Now 75kgs w/ muscles I've been here in Thailand for almost 5 years. I was a teacher, an office worker, a consultant and a broker. I love sports. And I believe that health is wealth. Here's my story, The reason I started exercising is because I "really" hated the way I looked and felt. I had become an unhealthy, overweight, unhappy, pack a day smoker and what made me even more upset was that I accepted it for years. I want to share my weight loss story with all of you because I know how difficult losing weight can be and how stressful it gets when you just cannot get the scale to budge. A lot of people think of weight loss as just a physical thing, not understanding that there is so much more to it. Losing weight has just as much, if not more of a mental aspect to it than many would think, not to mention the attitude changes, views on life in general, as well as the amazing "high" you get every time someone compliments you and tells you how good you look. Suggestions 1. I would have for others is tell people your goals. The more people you tell the more people will ask how things are going and then you can share your small successes along the way. This will also keep you motivated to do good so you won't have to tell people you aren't reaching your goals. Suggestion 2. Is to tackle the small goals before the large ones. I never once set out at the beginning trying to lose 10kg. I wanted to lose 3 to 5kg at first and once I got there I set another small goal of 5 to 7kg. When I first started I set goals small such as getting to the gym at a certain time. The more small goals you set will help raise you confidence so are able to start setting larger goals without any trouble. Don't try to be an over achiever and set goals that are unrealistic so you are not setting yourself up for failure. Also try to drink no calorie or low calorie drinks; get the calories in your food not liquids. Also if you must have something and you are going to cheat make sure it's moderate like a bite or spoonful just to kill the craving, not a whole serving of something. In conclusion I believe it is important to set small goals. You may never know where the little things will take you. Patience and persistence with hard work and dedication can get you anywhere you want to be in life, whether losing weight or gaining muscle. Anything is possible, you just need to back up your goal with an action. Don't just talk about it... do it! If you want to stay healthy and fit. Just ask me, maybe I can help you.
I can give you some basic tips, training articles and programs. ( This is Free. No charge only this one )
I wish i can help you!

"...I believe it is important to set small goals.....Patience and persistence with hard work and dedication ..." --- quote from Steven for me the above statement is very critical and very important. you must be very clear about your goals and be able to sustain it. it is easy to find gyms and how-to stay healthy information and training instructors. but sometimes people enroll in a gym and after 3 months some seem to fall away. stop going and become backsliders. and go back to their old lifestyle. they become very busy and absorb with their life and they want to hurry things up. my thoughts peace.

I used to do pilates workout in the Philippines but stop when i relocate here in Thailand. I checked all Pilates studio in Bangkok, the rate is very expensive and not reasonable to pay 2,000 Baht for one hour session. To pay 24,000 Baht for 12day=12hours workout a month made me disappointed. But what can I do?? I'm not a gym type person so I visited the gym here in our place only one time. Daily walking is my partner now but eating is my sickness..(yung may gusto ng food trip.. sabihan nyo lang ako ) I'm planning to take up some dancing class (hmmm belly dancing salsa jazz )... any recommendations? Thanks in advance

How much do you weigh?
How tall are you?
What's you target? Shape up, weight loss or building muscles?
We can't stop injury but we can avoid it.
I experienced a lot of injuries and i don't want other people to experience them.
Cherie do you have a dumbbell at home?
Do you have any machines or things for exercise at home?
Please answer my question first before i can give you some tips.Keep the Faith!!

That's a lovely idea. Anyway, i can give you a basic program to hit the specific area of your body. Because working out alone is just burning fats. And of course that the start. The level is from fats, endurance and muscles. But hard work makes us lazy. I have a medicine for that. Another reason why i'm doing this, its because most of the filipinos here in Thailand have a routine kind of life. We spent most of our time in sitting, watching tv, chatting and probably shopping. How many hours do you give to yourself? Let us say, basic exercise like jogging, walking or maybe cycling. Most of us will say, what is the use of making your body strong, healthy and sexy. For me i have a partner already and he or she is very satisfied to what i have. For me, having a strong and healthy body means a lot to me. You feel and do alot of things. To Blubingione, Thanks for sharing. Keep the Faith Bro!

That’s awesome an advice! I also like to be trimmed and lean but how could you encourage me more, Steven, if you ain’t gonna show how fit and good looking your muscles and abs are. Illustrative marketing is still by far one of the most effective means of promotion. Congratulations, by the way. (Ang galing mo talaga nung Saturday). I was there watchin’. (Idol na kita, pwede?)

Absobloodylutely. If you don't do exercise but you just wanna meantain you body. All you have to do is just eat less
carbs, calories and fatty foods. Just eat more protein, fruits and veges.
Ajarn PH you're right. That's why i'm gonna give a + sign again.
Thank you.Keep the Faith!

Thanks for the support. Anyway my body isn't like that 3 months ago. Its really better than what you saw last Saturday and the reason for that is having two jobs. But not anymore. I'm going back to the gym again. I've been craving to go back and do my program again. Anyway, did you enjoy last Saturday. Why you didn't greet me? I can probably give you a big hug. I was really happy during that time. Thanks again. Keep the Faith!
