Overseas Absentee Voting Bangkok Thailand, Philippine Embassy Bangkok, Thailand FIRST DAY OF ELECTIONSThe first day of elections for overseas absentee voters for the senatorial and party list elections officially begins today, 14 April 2007, Sunday. COMELEC has informed the Philippine Embassy that all electoral materials were mailed to Thailand on 04 April 2007. They started to arrive on 11 April 2007 and were already forwarded to individual voters. The envelopes contain the official list of candidates for senators and party list organizations, the ballot, inner and outer envelopes, paper seal, and the instructions on how to fill up the ballot and seal the envelopes. Please read carefully the instructions, both in English and Filipino, without missing any single step. Be reminded that your ballot will be invalidated IF: * You used an envelope other than the officially prescribed envelopes for purposes of mailing the accomplished ballot. * You failed to affix your signature in the space provided in the outer envelope. * You pasted in the ballot the names of the candidates of your choice. * You used a typewriter, printer or similar equipment in filling up the ballot. * Your ballot was post-marked or received by the Embassy after 2:00 pm, Thailand time, on 14 May 2007.
