Visa Run Turned Fatal

Eight (8 ) Filipinos met a road accident while on their way to the border between Thailand and Laos yesterday, according to the operator of the van, which was transporting them to the border.

The accident proved to be fatal for 1 Filipina, who is said to be from Quezon, Philippines. Seven (7 ) others are in different states of injuries at an Udon Thani hospital in Thailand. Udon Thani, Thailand:

The accident proved to be fatal for 1 Filipina, who is said to be from Quezon, Philippines. Seven (7 ) others are in different states of injuries at an Udon Thani hospital in Thailand.

The Philippine Embassy in Thailand has been informed of the accident and the Consul will be traveling to Udon Thani tomorrow morning to render assistance.

It is speculated that the travelers are among the many Filipinos who seek work in Thailand and are yet to secure work permits and non-immigrant visas.
