Author Peejay If I could take your hands And encircle those delicate fingers Around your universe and back, They would still fail to envelope The enormity of what you mean in mine At this moment, In this world You have helped whisper alive. Breathe your sweet fragrance In my eager soul As it inhales the scent Of what it means to love you, And finds that an eternity of senses Is rendered unfeelingly cold Without a second, staring, Into your brown eyes. And that heart beating rhythm With forever Is no longer mine But yours. And should the cherub servants of paradise Come searching for what, in us, be divine Let them search as long as there is time, For if they would open their hearts To the reality of me and you They would find that wherever That sweet divinity be There, too, are your hands in mine. |
